ASSURED FAMILY SERVICES

OUR HISTORY

Assured Family Services was founded in 1999.  Assured Family Services was contracted for the Wayne County Juvenile Justice Assessment Center in 2000 under the Juvenile Assessment Center for Wayne County. Our services began as a juvenile justice agency, combining the best expertise in juvenile justice, behavioral health, utilization review, and community services.  We formed a culturally competent juvenile justice network and created a visionary new approach to reclaiming youths and families, making communities safer and managing dollars better. This expanded to prevention, at risk and diversion youth in 2003.

Assured Family Services began work with the child welfare system in 2003 in our Child Welfare Therapeutic Services arm to assess local cases of abuse and neglect and link children and families to appropriate mental health services.

In response to changes in the many systems affecting youth and families, Assured Family Services became a mental health credentialed service agency in 2007 and was able to accept referrals for in-home treatment interventions for mental health and substance use issues under our CHOICES services.

In 2013, we partnered with many area schools to provide assessments to students and parents in order to help school authorities identify and manage the unique needs of what has been, until now, a very challenging school population.

We are available 9am-5pm weekdays for mental health and substance abuse treatment services for all children and families seeking help.  As a specialty service, we offer treatment in the family home to better support family engagement and to address transportation concerns.
